Mitchell Van Heyningen is a front-runner in sophisticated, commercially proven waste-to-energy projects across the Caribbean and Latin America, Mitchell holds a background in aviation engineering from Fokker B.V. in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. An experienced international professional, he has developed strong leadership and negotiation skills, supported by a broad and influential business and political network.

Prior to founding SIE, he served as Business Development Director in Santo Domingo for a U.S.-based renewable energy company and as Project Manager at Liro Engineering & Construction Company in New York. He is a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) and is actively engaged with the Caribbean American Chamber of Commerce & Industry (CACCI).
